I remember my grandmother's chickens, always in movement and fun to see. Never imagined I will have my own, this year after 9 years of traveling for work, we moved from the city to the country in North East Ohio, the first thing I wanted to accomplish was to have my own "chikis", after reading a lot about how to take care of baby chicks, my 7 years old picked them at Tractor Supply and the adventure began, we were still in the city when we got those beautiful and cute creatures, they had to sleep in the house for 5 weeks and also experienced the craziness of moving out from the house to the country in company of 240 little plant that we started for our garden before moving. Now they have a beautiful coop in front of the garden and although we don't free range, they look happy and have a great covered run to stretch around, they are our favorite part of our farm. AND YES WE LOVE OUR CHIKIS.
Looking forward for good conversation, wisdom and experience, next year we will go for more chikis!
