I have a few fish oil pills that an ordinary human would take. I know fish oil is very beneficial for healthy feathers and great during molt. just curious to know if it would be safe to give some to my flock and if so then how much?? Any help or any leads would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I would dissolve the caplet or pierce and mix with some other type of scrap you normally feed. My chickens love their daily bowl of kitchen leftovers....I'd think fish oil would be good for them but too much may flavor the eggs.

Oh, pretty much anything. Veggies....cooked or uncooked, pasta, rice, meat, cereal, cheese, yogurt, even shrimp shells. They're like garbage disposals. There are a few foods yup should feed them. Very salty foods, dried beans, potato peels. A little won't kill them but they shouldn't get a steady diet.
