fishheadken is here ?

:welcome

Hi Ken! As a former Floridian, I've spent quite a bit of time in and around St. Augustine...great place!

Don't forget to check in on the FL state thread, lots of helpful members there that can answer questions you may have specific to your part of the country.

Thanks for joining us!

Welcome Fish head Ken. I love St Augustine, We haven't ventured up that way for a few years but have always enjoyed visiting the Nations oldest city. You'll find a bunch of great information on these pages and even more great people. You seem to be a guy that might like to have fun so have at it. Enjoy the group and enjoy your chickens when you get them. When you build your coop build it bigger than your original plans because you will one day decide " I wish I could get some more chickens"

G’Day from down under fishheadken :frow Welcome!

I was reading all the posts and wondering why no one had mentioned that we now have a fish head Ken and a pork pie Ken and then got to Diva's post :clap I think it might be leading to a whole menu of Ken's ... someone tag me when we get to desert! :p :lau

On a more serious note now, have you decided on a breed? If not, this article might be of assistance: Pickin a Chicken

I do hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.

I note that Pork Pie mentioned the Topic of the Week articles which I have found to be a great resource and a one stop shop for questions which may have already been discussed within the BYC membership group. However, I did just want to emphasize how helpful they are and that some of them are aimed at those new to chickens so lots of 'kitting out the coop' and 'predator defense' etc. This one may be of particular assistance: Topic of the Week - Getting Started, Keeping Chickens

If you would like to share Pictures and Stories of your flock when they arrive or the coop build, you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out ;)

Best wishes and good luck!
