Thank you! We're having a good time. We're new to the chicken scene but having a blast so far.

Oh chickens... What will we see them up to next?

We actually have 22 chickens at the moment! 8 of them are between 4 and 6 months old, and 14 that are about 2 weeks old now. I only took two fishing because I was afraid it would be a little too chaotic (Ridiculous too, but the fact that any of them went with us really takes that out off the table as a consideration!

).

Let's see if I can remember them all:
Older ones:
2 RIR-ish Roos
1 RIR-ish hen
1 BA-ish hen
2 Red star hens
1 Dominque Roo
1 Buff Orp Roo

As for chicks, supposedly all hens:
2 white leghorns
2 brown leghorns
1 red star
1 RIR
2 barred rocks
4 BAs
1 unidentified tiny little girl
1 jersey black giant hen

And we're expecting four more chicks from the "Stork" tomorrow:
1 jersey black giant roo
1 buff brahama
1 golden lakenvelder
1 RIR

Whew! That's a lot of chickens... we'll probably get rid of 3 of the roos and 3 of the chicks, so we'll be down to a "very reasonable" 20. Ha! We decided that we'd only get four when this whole chicken experiment started.
