in fifteen short weeks.
During those fifteen weeks those five little buggers consumed 400 pounds of feed (150 pounds of 28% medicated crumbles and 250 pounds of the 21% non-medicated variety.)
Processed, the two hens weighed 17.98 lb. and 20.74 lb., the Toms weighed 29.05, 29.25 and 30.20 lb. for a total of 127.22 wrapped and in the freezer.
If my math is correct, that means that mix of three males and two female Broad breasted Whites gained one pound of weight for every 3.14 pounds of feed consumed.
