Five wks on Monday....too young????

I'd really like to put my white rocks and white leghorns outside. The temps have been pretty warm, with highs around 80 and lows not going below 60. are they too young to go outside??? Thanks!!! (BTW, they just got the last of their feathers...)

I would think that they would be ok. Are they going to be in a coop at night?? Just make sure they are in no drafts.

I put mine out at three weeks old in those temps...and I've put them out in the coop with heat even younger, although they didnt get to go outside at first.

I have been told that a rule of thumb is if they have all of their feathers that they are okay to go outside in the coop as long as the temperature is moderate. I put my 5 week old BR's outside when I knew that we were going to have good temperatures. They are doing just fine.

I put my babies out at 2 weeks with a heat lamp and their feathers are coming in faster than my others, and they are doing fantastic! Good luck!
