Welcome to the world of quail vs procrastination lol. It is best if possible to have your pen complete before you place them in it instead of modifying "as you need to". But look at the valuable lesson you learned, and there wasn't the inviting teeth of a family dog present to hammer the lesson home.

What would be better for a pen? Rabbit hutch, or chicken coop? Or do you have any other suggestions? The thin about the rabbit hutch and chicken coop is that theyre pretty expensive

Any other ideas? Better hurry about, these little things are growing big... Speaking of growing big there is this one tiny one that is smaller than the rest and I'm getting a little bit worried. Everytime I go down to make sure they're ok, I always place the little one in front of the food and water. And it does eat... Its just not growing... Help?

On the cheap:

8 t-posts forming a 10'x10' pen one in each corner and one in the middle of each side.

Wrap it in 4' wide hardware cloth and stretch a 10'x10' heavy duty tarp over it.
