After six years, my coop has settled a bit, and the latch on the door was no longer lining up the way it should. I was blessd this year with a Amazon Gift card from my Auntie Jennie in VA So I bought myself a cordless screwdriver!

I had to add a scrap piece of wood to get the latch to line up properly.
Do you think I put in enough screws?

Yep, they are at least three inches, they had to go through the 2" X 2" piece, then through the board on the door into the 2" X 4" behind it.

I don't think that "fix" will be getting loose any time soon.

LOL I think you've got enough!
Curious as to how one of those little drivers could even handle 3" screws...did you drill pilot holes?

Oh for sure I had to drill the wood first... in fact I had to go back and make the holes bigger so the screwdriver would work at all!! Someday it would be nice to have a more powerful driver!

Even with pilot holes and an 18volt driver, I rub a bar of beeswax on the screw to lubricate a 3incher along in it's passage....helps alot.
