Is it possible that flagging posts results in the flagger being identified to the poster or other non-staff?

No, only the staff knows. When you flag it the computer removes it that moment for moderator review. If it is not bad they let it go back on the thread, if it is bad the moderator issues a warning or infraction depending on what it was. No one can see the process except staff.

This is almost correct. Posts are not removed when they are flagged. Flagging simply brings a post to the atttention of staff, then staff determines any action necessary. We never reveal to a member who flagged a post, just as we never discuss with a member how another member was moderated.

Sorry, I thought it was removed as soon as it was flagged. This means the staff is super quick at keeping this community a safe place to be. Thank you for the correction.
