Flat Panel Coop Heater- Has anyone used one?

I decided against a flat panel heater because most of the reviews I saw (on Amazon) said that it didn't work well when installed on an exterior facing wall. Well, that's every wall in my chicken coop. However, there are a few BYCers who have flat panel heaters. I suggest doing a search (see the blue bar above) and see what you can glean from others' experiences.

And just for comparison sake, I have heat on 24/7 in my coop from October through March/April and my coop averages around 10-15F. So yes, chickens can handle quite a bit of cold and still thrive. Ventilation is your friend.

I do love the Thermocubes!! I use one now on my coop fans...on at 78 degrees. Last winter I used the "on at 35 degrees" - my girls were still pretty young. This winter I'll probably go with the "on at 20 degrees" model, since my girls are grown. Between that and the water heater, I'll feel pretty good about them.

If you have no insulation, I would think that you will be paying through the nose...unless you're only talking about providing a little warmth at night time. It's definitely worth insulating just for peace of mind, IMO.
