flat sided egg with weak spot?

one of my chickens for a few weeks now has been laying eggs that are sort of flat on one side and that flat side has a weak spot that very often is partially broken by the time i pick it out of the coop.

what is wrong?

Is your chicken on layer feed or are you offering oyster shell?

Any updates on this thread? I have a Langshan who lays oval eggs and I've recently noticed they sometimes have a weak spot. Sometimes they are just soft/weak and sometimes the egg is cracked or broken when I collect the eggs.

My girls are on layer crumble and they have open access to oyster shell. I also give them old oatmeal, cheese, yogurt, milk, and dried mealworms as treats.
