You know, I agree with rosawoodsii. Feeding animal protein,especially chicken, just seems wrong. I feed dairy(cottage cheese and yogurt) with flaxseed meal. That seems to cover most bases. They have shiny feathers and the eggs....... We got a jumbo today. Our first. Very excited.
About whether free ranging provides omega3, I have no idea but winter range doesn't provide much out here. So I supplement with lettuce, spinach and anything else I can think of.
