Flea prevention

Tonight is the first night that our 5 week old chicks are outside in their new coop. I’m just thinking about some preventative care things and was wondering if I can spray this flea/ tick prevention on their bedding and run? Are the ingredients general safe for chicken ?

Another random question- should I lock them in their coop when it gets dark and then let them out in the morning? Or can I leave the coop door open have them free roaming in the attached run? Thanks guys!!

Also it just got dark and the chicks are freaking out… the coop is on our patio and I can hear them screaming from our living room. Should I let it be and they will get used to it?

Use permethrin.
This, specifically, is ok to use in a coop and on birds and it's easy...no mixing with water/ready to use.

If your run is predator proof then there's no reason to lock them in a coop.
If your coop is not predator proof then there's no reason to lock them in it either.
