Fleas in my yard... GOING CRAZY!

This says that all it is is cedar oil and it doesn't work. There is no science, no tests, only a claim that cedar oil repels them/kills them with nothing to back it up or reasons why it does so. Also, it's REALLY expensive, prohibitively so.

Oops ok sorry I hadn't heard of that.

Hey no problemo! I hope I helped save you from making the wrong choice if you have a problem with them.

How would one apply sevin and borax to an entire yard? Or lime for that matter?

Lime won't do anything for fleas

You can spray Liquid Sevin, or spread the powdered type

FLEAS ON DOGS
- here is a cheap and effective treatment: CAMPHOR TREE LEAVES
-------------------------
I discovered this quite by accident... My old dog had many health issues, including terrible skin rashes.
One day, looking at my Camphor Tree, I wondered if its leaves would make a good, soothing potion. I made a strong brew for applying over the whole body. It worked! The dog slept very well and was very calm for the next couple of days.

Then, while examining its skin, I noticed something interesting!
I found DEAD FLEAS!
A little research showed two things:
- Camphor can be used for pain but NOT taken orally because it can be TOXIC
- Camphor kills fleas ! ! !
- It is a cheap, natural remedy

How did I use it?
- I boiled a small bouquet of leaves in a large pot for about 10 minutes.
- I let the brew COOL DOWN completely.
Then, I would either use a small towel to sponge the brew all over the dry dog or, if I was bathing, I would finish with a cup along its spine and towel dry the dog.

FLEAS IN THE YARD
- I use AGRICULTURAL LIME to treat the yard. This product "eats" the flea legs up.
- I disperse it using a cheap "seed spreader" covering a whole acre in 30 minutes!
- I wear a MASK over my nose

Since the flea eggs hatch every 2 weeks, this process has to be repeated, but you will enjoy a FLEA FREE home.

I had a flea infestation that I could just not get a handle on. I tried Frontline, Advantage, Bio Spot, Sprays, DE, Borax, you name it...The only product that finally got rid of the little beasts was Comfortis, a tablet you get from the vet and give your dogs and/or cats once a month. It seemed really expensive at the time, but considering all the money spent on products that didn't work and the time that it was taking to manage the problem it didn't turn out to be any more expensive than anything else. Also vacuuming every day for a month and emptying the canister right afterwards helps to control the fleas already in the house. I keep a small piece of flea collar in the vacuum canister in case I miss some fleas when I empty it.

I have a thought...Have you considered an insect growth regulator? I know you could use it in the house, I'm not sure if they work outside. I just remember that it stops the insect from developing at a certain point so they never reproduce. It may be worth a try.

I had a major flea infestation last year in my house and my yard. I didn't have any pets indoors at the time but I did have 4 outdoor cats which I treated with flea collars and frontline. On my yard I used Sevin dust granules but they didn't seem to help much. In my house I used just about every product for fleas around. I eventually learned that you need two products. One to kill the adult fleas and a insect growth regulator. I reccomend the combo kit from epestsolutions.com

This is what finally took care of our problem. Also for any stragglers I got a flea light trap.
I reccomed the victor M230 ultimate flea trap which can be bought on amazon. One thing I learned, getting rid of fleas is not cheap and very time consuming. Lots of vacuuming and sometimes multiple pesticide treatments will eventually get rid of the problem. I will be treating my yard as soon as it warms up this year, probably with lime that was mentioned above so hopefully I won't have to deal with them again this year.
