Fleas: what to use?

since living on a farm for the past few years i have changed from my city ways to farmer.....(don't shoot me) but i do not rush out to by all though high price stuff for fleas......last time we had fleas in the house (about 4 years ago) we took a large box of salt and speed it ourn the house...waited a hour and vaccumed it up...worked like a charm....we also sprayed out dogs down with tea tree oil mixed with water...flea,lices and ticks do not like the smell of tea tree oil....we also use that in out chicken coop.

Garlic - Can dogs have garlic? I put a small amount of garlic powder in two of my cats food every other day, and we don't have any problems with fleas. My other cat gets pieces of garlic when he eats our food when we cook with garlic.

I agree with the ones that have said Comfortis.....it works really well, but it can be expensive. I have also used the frontline drops, they did really well with my Yorkie. The Borax works.......Salt also works. So they are several options that you have. I hope you find one that works for you.
Oh and tea tree oil works, but I can only find it in a little 1 oz bottle and it is $8.....not going there.
