Hi, I'm new. Thinking about coop and run design, and how to integrate chickens into a garden. I want to be able to move tunnels around my garden for chicken help as needed between rows of plants. So, flexibility of the tunnels is key. Can I use corrugated drain pipes like these for flexibility? What is the smallest diameter I could use? Or maybe larger pipes would be more flexible? I would use these as small joints between larger wire tunnels. I haven't seen anything like this anywhere on the chicken blogs, so there must be some flaw with this idea, right? Thanks for your input!
Corrugated Pipes

Well I like the idea. I would say 14" would be the smallest they could possibly fit through but I'm not sure if they will actually go through it unless the length is quite short. As it would look like a scary black hole to a non buroughing prey animal.

I think it would be easier/less costly/more liked by the birds to use pvc hoops covered in easy to remove netting.
What I gather is you are looking at a way to move them into a space between the rows.....
I find fencing mine out of the garden beds during growing season works well....but I use raised beds for most of my garden.

I would use these as small joints between larger wire tunnels.
Might work.... depending on how long the solid pipe sections are.......and how you attach them to the wire tunnels.

Your screen name made me think of my old dog.

Hmmm, I wonder how flexible the pipes would be if you cut one all the way lengthwise to open it up, so it would be like a hoop tunnel, i.e. the tube would then be an arch with the chickens walking on the dirt. As is, I would think the chickens would poop in it and you would have to spray water through it every so often to get the poop out.
