flies and bad odors in the runs...what to do???

Sand, DE and occasionally Stall Dry. NEVER straw and only enough grass clippings that they will eat it all.

I got a 50lb bag of DE here last Friday for $27.

The surface of the chicken run should be higher than the surface of the ground outside of the chicken run. Just think about a raised bed garden, same principle here. Then when it does rain, the run just naturally drains. This will help a lot with the dampness in the run no matter how much it rains.....
