do bug zappers work on flies? I am sick of looking at the gross fly traps and my husband is yelling about the flies. Help. thanks.

we are yet to catch a single fly in our zapper - though we only turn it on from dusk to dawn. Have run it since spring.

My Uncle was a hog farmer and he "scented" his zapper. With what I don't know. But it worked.. they removed a 5 gallon bucket of dead flies (eeewwwwww.....) from their hog barn every day.

The tennis racket zappers work great if you are up for a bit of exercise. We go nuts on the flies & mosquitoes every night.

In an ideal world, the chickens would eat the dead flies. It cannot smell worse than the fly traps I have! I have seen the tennis racquet zappers. Maybe I could get the kids early birthday presents. They would be soo mad.

Strange...not many flies in my coop at all. When one ventures in, there are 13 pairs of beady eyes following it, and the more athletic chooks jump and run to catch it. They're getting their exercise and earning their protein snacks!
