It has been raining and then getting hot and as we know this draws flies to place w do not want them, i hardly ever have a problem with them in my brooder because it is always dry but this year has been an exception, i use pure vanilla extract and clove mixed with water and spray the brooder a few times a day and it helps but a while back i read that those vanilla air freshners for cars would work so i went 3 days ago and bought some.

It has been 3 days and while there are a few flys around there are no longer 100's like when the mixture i sprayed wore off, not sure how long they will last but it sure smells perty in there, they seem to keep flys away for around 5 foot from the freshener.

Biting flies like mosquito's can give your birds pox just in case some of you did not know i have seen it happen here.

I paid a 1.25 for the big one and 2.50 for a 3 pack of small ones
