Granny's gone and done it again

Went Mindi's place today. She watches Austin and Bronwyn's littles while she works in office. We t out to see the fish. Jane likes dipping her toes in. They will nibble. :)
The fish are beautiful. Hard to get decent photos.

People on disability should be able to make enough to live on. My GC is on disability and if she did not live with us she could not survive on it. We're in our 70's. We can't support her forever, and what will she do when we're not here any more? This house is paid for but she doesn't make enough to keep it, taxes, insurance, utilities, plus her food and living expenses. I fear for her.

A grandson and wife announced they are expecting. Exciting news for them because she's had .. several .. miscarriages. They waited until they got past the 12 weeks and after having blood work to make sure everything is ok before announcing. My Mindi is going to be a grandma and I'm getting another Great grandchild. And I'm also getting older.

The state will help. At least here. So far they're still able to. I have a brother that lived with my mother until she passed because he can't work. He's got problems. He's in an apt. Shares, but has done well in it.

I have learned credit cards are a help. If I'm a little short one month, I put it on a credit card(rewards)

You can get the ones that give a $200 bonus if you spend a certain amount the first 3 months. I put all my bills on it and get $200 back. I don't use it for anything except my bills. Or especially the month I get oil.

Property taxes really bother me. But if you are on disability, they divide them into payments. But I agree, you have to think real hard and creatively to make ends meet and then sometimes it doesn't want to work. My wardrobe is very tiny. I only buy if something wears out. I didn't have real furniture, Just cheap folding tables and chairs from Good will. One easy chair that came with the house. Just a mattress on the floor, no bed. But a roof over our head, and heat and cooling when needed. Still happy!!!!
