Flies? Need Advice

I live in Louisiana and the heat and humidity is bad. So I know flies will soon be a problem. I see a few flies flying around and its not bad at all but I know once theres a few there will soon be many baby fly larva that turn into flies. What do y'all do to prevent flies from taking over? I want to do something now before it gets bad.

I've been thinking about one of those solar fly zapper thingies
mount it up in the rafters .

Fly zapper for sure but also depending on your situation. Aka 5 birds or 45. really keeping it clean daily and the flies shouldn’t be a problem

I do keep up with my cleaning and I only have three chickens but I thought the added heat and humidity would make it worse

Yeah then just get a fly zapper out of reach of the birds of coarse

You can also put some herbs up, like lavender to prevent them. They hate the smell.

Are there any other herbs you know of that will help prevent it because I have a lot of herbs but not lavender
