Flies???

I believe Guineas eat flies--don't they eat any kind of bugs??

I've heard Muscovy ducks are very good fly-hunters. I'm planning to get those ducks when the time comes

They make outdoor "Fly Strips" They are a hexagon shaped and about 6-8" tall. You could also look at the farm store and look in the horse section, they have a bunch of fly control there.

A word or warning with the big yellow ones.... They work and hold good. I have caught "all kinds" of bugs, even beneficial ones, but they are worth it for me when I am in the garden and NOT getting attacked by horsefly bites.

When I had Guinea Fowl, they weren't that fast at getting flies but my Jack Russell Terrier would snap bees out of the air! Didn't say that she was smart! You can put down DE but everytime it rains it will need to be reapplied. Plus, you'll have a whitish looking lawn but at least it won't hurt your birds and it's actually good for them to eat some. The mosquito dunks that go in the water can affect the water system. I was thinking of getting some because there is a swamp behind me and when I read the ingredients, it stated a precautionary label. I thought to myself if I wanted to add a chemical that had a caution label to my water supply and decided against it. Ended up getting one of those propane powered mosquito killers. Lots of money and they emit carbon dioxide. I called it the sacrificial human. They do work but they are expensive and I always wondered whether they attracted ALL of the flying critters from around me. However, every time I emptied the container, it was full! You can also opt for an outdoor bug lamp, they'll get a ton of flies and moths but not so good for catching mosquitoes. Another person once told me that she would hang a fish or piece of chicken from a tree and put a five gallon bucket of soapy water underneath and flies and yellow jackets would eat until they were gorged, then fall into the bucket and expire. I wasn't sure if I could stomach that. Hope this post helps!
