So far the DE has worked like a dream!

Maxforce Granular Fly Bait sprinkled on ground a couple feet out from the run. Order it off the Internet. Boom! No more fly problem

How do you keep the chickens from thinking the Maxforce is something to eat? I think if I sprinkeled granules on the ground, my whole flock would come and gobble them up.

I don't think you should use it if your chickens are free range outside a run.

I've been using DE for fly control. I found some mixed with clay to keep the dust down. It costs a lot - almost 10 dollars for a very small container.

I use DE as well. I only spent $3 on 2 lbs. I have a small run for only 3 hens but I haven't used it up yet. And I have been applying it a couple of times a week with a container I made into a shaker! It's working well!!
