Using this method now for the awful flies. I have tried everything and hope this will work. The girls walk through them I can't stand them. So far this is the best I have used.

I do something similar with a homemade trap but I use watermelon rind for bait.

you mentioned the watermelon, I have noticed the red apples I give the girls, the flies like them. So going to make another one. There are enough flies for two of the traps.
