Flighty Andalusians

I have two andalusians that keep hopping our fence to go exploring. We live on a nursery and cars zip around on the road they walk across and I would prefer that they stayed in the yard. Can I clip their wings? I don't think a taller fence would help as they currently fly straight up about 8 feet.

Same here. Andalusians can just fly like heck, I guess. Those light, wild looking birds, nothing like the hefty sedans called Orpingtons or Rocks . . . Clipped mine.

Yes you can clip the flight feathers on one side only. If you clip both sides they will still be balanced and fly. Jean
