Flighty Ducks

They are indeed just for eggs. I don't really care for them being pets, I wanted a hawk wary bird that gave eggs and stayed out of my garden. It's been great so far. I solved the death pile by putting in a second door to the coop. We've had an agreement ever since: they give me nearly 9 eggs a day, and I give them as much food as they want. It's worked out well. We're hatching our first eggs from them now, to give to a friend who needs to know where her eggs come from before eating them. So everyone is happy happy happy.
