floating duck house size

Hi, I recently got 6 welsh harlequin ducks and plan to put them on our 1 acre private pond but we have no clue how big to build their floating duck house. Everything I've read about space requirements for ducks are for enclosed ducks. How big should their shelter be,since they won't be in it all the time.

I have not researched how much room ducks will need, but if it is anything like chickens, you could half the size, assuming halfing it wouldn't reduce the size to less than 2 square feet per duck.
