I just bought a flock block for my girls. (Their first) Forgot & left it out overnight & it poured & got soaked.
Is it ok or should I throw it out? Hate to waste the $ but don't want them to get sick if its ruined.

If it is held together with honey (most are) then there is nothing to worry about except the rain may have made it come apart. Think of all the chickens that eat below a wild bird feeder. When they are eating those seed droppings sometimes they are sprouting already. Check it over for mold if you are worried about anything but I wouldn't worry.

What kind of flock block did you get? I have tried blocks a couple of times and my girls would not eat them. Can't remember the name of the ones I have tired, but I ordered one and the other was from Tractor Supply. I would love to find one that they'll eat.

The local feed store had the purina flock block. Personally not a fan of purina products but tried making different recipies none came out like I hoped so just got what the store had & the girls seem to love it.

Have you ever thought about making your own? I made one over the winter a meatloaf pan, broke up some bread pieces added 4 eggs shells and all added some scratch cut up apple chunks flack seed all kinds of good stuff baked for a couple of hours at 350 until it was hard, I cut it to fit in a salt lick holder and they loved it.

Yes tried 3 different recipies...they all got hard but fell apart as soon as the girls started pecking at them. Gave up & just bought one
