I tried one this summer when they had them on sale. The chickens liked it and I think I'll keep some on hand this winter for when the weather is bad and they spend more time in the coop to help cut down on boredom.

I keep one with my growing birds at all times. Pretty much stops all feather picking plus they really like them. For treats for confined birds during the winter I would think these would be the most economical thing that could be provided. Plus they are always available since they are made by Purina. The cost is comparable to some of the regular feeds, since right now I paying about $8.00 for the 25 pound block.
