Anybody using Flock Blocks as a supplement?

In early spring I had a problem with a few of the hens pecking at some of the other chickens and so I added a flock block (purina) for them to peck at, totally stopped all pecking and they LOVED it!
I occassionally buy the big bird treat blocks (25lb) but they don't seem to like them as much as the purina one.
