I have 16 hens and no rooster
4 ISO browns (2 years old)
1 dominicker (2 years old)
6 black australops(6 months old)
5 production blues (6 months old)
My issue currently is with the browns picking on the my young birds. They are in a coop and run enclosure. My older birds were free range for the first year of their life and only cooped at night. Once my chicks had adult feathers they were moved into a coop with my dominicker and I built the run, then the browns were added (they were always on the property but they belonged to a tenant who has since given them to me). I thought as time went on and the chicks grew up the bullying would stop but they are beginning to lay and are the same size as the browns and still being bullied. No injuries or missing feathers... Just an upset mama...

They have 2 advantages age and numbers and since there is no man making them play nice they're free to terrorise.
Im betting the dominque is not messed with lol.
It wont last long with them at 6 months in about three of four months they'll be able and thrilled to pump the b*tch brakes on them.:)

Not anymore she's not lol they were all bought at the same time but I had to separate her because the browns were picking on her so bad I thought they were going to kill her!! But since they have grown up (and she is slightly bigger than them) they are good. I'll give it some more time and see how it goes, thank you!

Your Dom may very well kick everybody's tush and take top hen.
Those doms are thinkers firstly but brawler is right behind.
Best teacher your young ones could have.
