So,
My wife's uncle gave us 10 females, 7 young RSLs (16 weeks) and 3 Ameraucanas (24+ months). We popped them into an established flock of 12 RSLs, 1 BO, and 1 RSL Rooster...at dusk.
The older Ameraucanas came out guns blazing! The Rooster ignored the young RSLs, broke up 1 Ameraucana fight in favor of "his" RSL, and broke up another in favor of the 2nd Ameraucana. The 3rd stayed away from the action, and fed on the ample grains provided.
Trust me, I did not enjoy it.
I am simply chronicling this for future search engine users.
By nightfall all were roosting together in the coop.
