Flock of Chickens

I am a blogger from Maine my husband and I started raising chickens this year. We ordered our chicks from Murray McMurray and so far, everything has been going great! The first day, I was worried that I would kill them all...., but all 14 chickens keep growing bigger and bigger! They are now in their 5th week and have moved out of the brooder into their brand new chicken coop, which I will post on this site. My husband built a permanent raised coop for the little buggers, so far they seem to love it.

Never thought that I would like raising chickens, but they all are so funny and have quirky personalities... definitely the best barnyard animal we've gotten thus far. They have all be sexed as females and we hope to have many many eggs to sell, eat, and share with friends and family.
