Hi everyone! I have recently switched from Mazuri to Flock Raiser since my flock has grown to save some money. I have noticed that the eggs taste a little fishier since I have done that. Has anyone else experienced this? Also, now that all of my ducks are grown, would there be something better to feed them? None are laying right now, one stopped in November, and the other five are only 4 months old, so I am waiting for them to start, hopefully in a month or so.

Purina now makes Duck Pellets. I had to badger my TSC to get them in but it worked. The ducks like them and they have all that the ducks need as far as nutrients.

I will have to see if mine has them. Do you have to order the bags every time now or do they just carry it now? And how does it smell?
You can't order it online believe it or not! The Dallas store only carried the 5lb bag which I would go through in a day but Douglasville carried the 40lb bags so until Dallas can get it's act together the Douglasville store is sending the big bags over to Dallas for me. I've been over to the Douglasville store twice but it's really a long way for me to drive and on my way to nowhere.

We asked the Dallas store to order it before Thanksgiving and there was a big mix up and it still isn't there. Apparently it was "received" into the system but it never actually got there. I'm just glad I don't have to go all the way to Douglasville anymore!

I haven't noticed any odor at all but I never thought to smell it.

I used Flock Raiser for many year and never noticed a funny taste. It’s been at least 5 yrs since I’ve bought it though and could be they’ve changed the content since.
