Flock Raiser/Layer pellet

Just wondering if Flock Raiser is good enough or should I keep giving layer pellets also or just add some oyster shell?

Depends. If all they eat is the feed, then layer is formulated to be the best feed for laying hens. If you give them a lot of treats that are protein poor, then flock raiser with oyster shell free choice is probably a good idea to get their overall protein content up where it needs to be. If you are giving them protein rich treats, then flock raiser is not such a good idea. Too much protein is not good for them, but neither is too little. There is room for a pretty big margin of error (they are pretty adaptable) so you don't have to be exact, but I think it is best to at least try to balance their needs with what is offered.
