Flock raiser or grower?

I keep a mixed flock. I plan on getting waterfowl feed for my ducks and geese. That leaves my chickens which is roosters, hens and chicks. I obviously don't want to feed layer feed to my roosters and chicks. Should I give flock raiser still or give grower with free feed oyster shell? Thanks.

It is so much simpler to buy one feed for everybody. I use Flock Raiser for chicks, roosters, laying hens, and ducks. Everybody is happy, healthy, and productive. Oyster shell is always available to those that need it.

Yes its definitely easier but we have more waterfowl then chickens now. I'm wanting them on waterfowl feed since it covers their niacin needs etc.. We only have about 5 chickens now so buying thier food separately isnt a hardship. Just trying to figure out which would be the healthiest for them.

The stuff thats available here is not. It has no niacin in it. But I've already decided to feed waterfowl feed. I'm trying to find out whats better for my chickens.

Purina brand Flock Raiser is formulated to provide enough niacin in it for ducks. It's a higher protein content than a typical grower or layer feed, which is better for breeds like Easter Eggers and for molting birds.
