My 6 did the same thing. We had four laying, suddenly the sky was orange and only an egg a day.

It makes sense - self preservation. I can't wait for this awful smoke to clear out for good! We still have many more bad days than good ones.

Since they free range they may be hiding eggs. Just a thought

We have looked absolutely everywhere we can think of, and especially areas where they like to hang out, and sure can't find any yet. But, who knows? They have to be very well hidden - there would be a very large stack of eggs by now!
