You garden? We grow, well, we always grow hot peppers lol. And tomatoes. And a few other things but not as well as hot peppers

Yes I dabble in landscaping. I so wish I had a larger property because well I want more chickens and more plants. But I also want to grow my own vegetables.

Could you grow some of the smaller veggies in containers so they don't take up so much room?

Container gardening is always a good alternative. Pots can be moved around if the area doesn't work. Very tall and vining type veggies should be left in place though. But carrots, beets, various salad greens, potato, zucchini, all could be decorative and edible. Well, zucchini can get pretty wide.

So the front yard gets the most sun but there’s a slope and all the darn deer and squirrels eat any vegetables that aren’t in a secure garden.
