Hens go broody when you don’t want them to… and won’t go broody when you do. 
Hello everyone good to be back on here! My flock has grown since I posted last. Recently I was given 3 arucana hens and they just started laying. So cool its like an Easter egg hunt everyday. They are just the color and type I was looking for. A friend of mine from the local Tractor Supply gave them to me.Thanks so much Carol!!!
