Ok..there are geoups within the flock- they completely free range sleep 8 feet up under back porch
The Originals 10 months old
Timmy- Golden sebright Cockrel- near perfect rooster smart,kind,gentle,hyper aware, corrects hens as needed, super protective, allows hen first food/treats/ dustbaths..not human friendly except at bed time. 10 months old virtually no spurs,fertile even with big girls
The Eggers ( red,olive,girl)
Blue- blue andalusian 2nd in command
Ciciley- spangled oegb ,has 6 8 week biddies super mom hatched others eggs
Floof- mille fleur d'uccle ooutlier hangs with everyone sleeps with originals
Farrah fawcett- golden sebright hen aloof flight
The Stupids
Dumb 5 mos old jubilee orpington cockrel larger of the 2.
Dumber- 1 week younger than dumb jubilee orpington
Both just started crowing..dumber is submissive to Dumb..he likes to pull hens feathers tail feathers etc
They both have mounted their hens
Both sleep together, they are both learning from Timmy about alerting to predators whole flock submissive to timmy
Sis and sue - jubilee orpington hens pretty smart, predator savvy, good foragers, good hens not laying yet still young coming 5 months.
Thing 1 and thing 2 - mille fleur x oeg standard - not quite standard bigger than bantam about 5 months letting boys mount eggs unknown.
The threes-
Unintended Shoelace green queen bantam cockerel 27 nov 22 hatch- smart,savvy, watches timmy and literally mimics timmy
2 black australorps girls beth& bee
1 crested cream legbar -ellen
1 welsummer- wilma
1 green queen bantam -pigeon
1 light brahma. - snowball
They pretty much keep to themselves but they are obedient and listen to Timmy and his alerts good and bad
The whole group gets along..timmyvwatches for everyone but concentrates on his girls, only really deals with any others when they ignore predator warnings and then he fusses, makes them move
He also stays awake and watches until everyone is settled..the stupids and 3s get semi locked up.. mostly because as such a heavy breed the orpingtons cant fly as high, so they have 3 options large dog crate coop or small og crate..stupids always choose the small crate despite larger having 2 levels of low roosts..thing 1 and thing 2 sometimes go with them. Sometimes roost in the coop
I know dumb or dumber will need to go and have arrangements made. Just waiting to see which is better .
I know the ratios are somewhat off but since they have many acres many feeding stations can it work?
