Hi. Thank you. Yes that's correct. The farmer has some RIR layers for sale but I think I want to be more selective in terms of colour and appearance for a back yard flock. I'm about to take both boys

Yeah, and adding more birds now would probably add a different kind if chaos to the scenario.

Thanks. I'll leave them for now then. Yes it is, only started in June!

Oh! Sorry to come into this late, I do feel your angst!

From my own experience, life will be easier if you let one or even both go now, especially while you have what sounds like a good new home. You have lots of support out here in Chickendom!
