Flogging???

but yes when a chook (chicken) flogs you it beats you in a whirl wind of feathered furry. it should really not be tolerated especially if children are around the chickens. They will sometimes try to spur you to and if you think a flogging hurts (which surprisingly it does, those buggers are strong when they want to be) but spurring can cause punctures if they are big enough.

Wow, that thread title just brought a flash-back to my childhood. I was a child and was teasing the geese by poking at them with a twig (through the fence). The goose got even though and gave me a good flogging at our next meeting. lol
 
Geese and swans are more prone to flogging people than chickens. Wild swans cobs will come right at you if you get to close to the nest. Not something you want to have happen when canoeing.

I hadn't seen a video but I've watched canoers ignore the advise to stay away from the swans nest and then pay for it.
