Flooded Chicken Yard

Hello, just thought I would share my stupid move for the week. Friday morning I feed and water chickens like I do every morning before work. For whatever reason I forgot to turn off the water, when I got home the chicken yard was flooded and the girls where having a blast wading in it. I'm dreading my power bill, pump ran for at least 10 hours and just last week the heating and air unit ran all day, thermastat had gotten stuck. Gonna be a big bill.

Ah poor UNGLEG, I can't seem to remember to lock the gates lately. I don't know who has been with who. Sheesh. I bet the girls appreciate the mud bath tho.

The faucet broke in the pen one day.

Actually I think they do! Mine are always going in mud puddles and love it when I spritz them with the hose on really hot days, maybe they think they're ducks!!!!

have also done this(few times) and now set the alarm on my cell phone for a few minutes after i've turned water on. my chickens haven't been happy but the ducks are grateful.
