When Dottie, my first to lay pullet, picked a corner in the coop to lay her eggs I read every hint on how to get her to move to a nest. A board in her favorite spot just backed her up further in the coop. Nest curtains did not excite her. Different nest materials only gave her 5 friends something to snack on. So we just left her alone to lay where she wanted. But for some unknown reason, she decided last Sunday to move to a nest box and has laid there exclusively since then. I have been so excited that I had to brag, I now have 6 pullets sharing 2 nest boxes.
