floor

I wouldn't, kitty litter has all sorts of additives in it and its clay I would worry about poultry eating it and getting sick or impacted. What is your floor now? dirt, wood, cement? Or are you looking for something for under the roosts? I have dirt wood and cement floors and I use straw and do the deep bed litter method and for under the roosts I use a winter sled and just pull it out when it gets full. I have seen posts where people use sand.

. Sand is a excellent alternative but be careful in winter because it can keep the ground pretty cool
