has anyone used rubber roofing like 1/2" thick for the floor thinking of just rtv to seal to the floor so i can hose it out easily and the chickens have a soft floor with traction

In places I have pieces of that thick rubber matting that is to stand on, it is a good 1/2" thick, on top of concrete because I was worried about them jumping down even with shavings. I would not use it without shaving just because you would have to hose it out an awful lot and getting dried poop off is a nuisance since you pretty much have to soak it. Also when they scratch around they can scrape it up, and I would suspect they can scrape up roofing material also.
