Hello from West Palm Beach! We have a chicken club here, http://www.PoultryFanciers.com where local poultry keepers meet once a month to eat & socialize. Our next meeting is tonight, don't know if that's too short of notice for you. In January we run the Poultry Tent at the South Florida Fair. Come by & talk to the folks at the tent, we can help you get off to a great start with your birds.

Thank you for getting the fertile eggs to one of our club members, Sjisty!

If anyone else has fertile chicken eggs to donate to our cause here in West Palm, please let me know. Our club runs the poultry tent at the South Florida Fair http://www.southfloridafair.com/ and we try to do a lot there to educate the public on the facts about keeping chickens. The brooder with the hatching chicks is one of the most popular attractions, and we interact with a lot of fairgoers hanging around the brooder waiting for each chick to hatch. We also sell baby chicks there, both the ones we hatch at the fair and others we order from a hatchery. Our proceeds go to help run the club and also to help our local 4-H members.

One of our clubmembers has a big incubator at her house. She begins to set eggs 21 days before the start of the Fair, and sets about a dozen each day until 3 weeks before the end of the Fair. Then every other day of the fair she brings eggs ready to hatch and sets them in the incubator. So there will always be some chicks hatching every day.

If you're close enough, please come out to the fair and visit our tent! Let me know if you're coming so we can plan to meet in person.
