Everybody is high and dry, we all made it through, though still drying out! Dang rain can stop for a few days anytime! Mosquitoes LOVE this weather. Bugspray is my new deodorant!

We got more rain Saturday (6"!) than we did Thursday. Crazy. The ducks were in heaven. Chickens, not so much. The goats were downright mad.

We got a good bit Saturday, but I had already worked on chickens areas to keep them high and dry My puppy as in muddy dog heaven, until she realized that being covered in mud might feel good but it means Mom banishes you from the house! LOL We had a good day Sunday, managed to get the front yard and side yard mowed. Our riding mower is dead (needs new battery) so we borrowed a push mower and BOY have I forgotten how much work that is! I guess I've gone soft having my rider! LOL

Thanks. I earned my name after I ran house to house in my old neighborhood trying to rescue a Sandhill Crane with a rubber washer stuck over his beak. Finally did capture him with a certified rescuer assistance, but sadly he didn't survive. I've owned several house pet bird but am new to the barnyard variety.

I have 6 chickens, 3 ducks, 2 Peafowl, and 5 quail. I plan to get 5-6 more chickens for a tow truck too.
