Hi there!
Late to the party but I finally made it! LOL!
We're in Keystone Heights, halfway between JAX and Gainesville. Northeast, I suppose.
We have nine free range guineas (five lavender, two royal purple and two pearl) and four laying hens. The layers are Poppy and Blossom, two buff orpingtons; Mildred, the New Hamshire Red; and Henrietta, the Barred Rock. The guineas are wild but happy. The layers come when called but aren't at all "cuddly".
Draftiemama! Sorry Bob didn't work out for you. He is a beautiful bird. Glad to see he got a new home.
We are currently looking for a very friendly hen as a pet for our toddler (sort of, okay, maybe more
MY pet, but friendly enough that he can pet her, LOL!!). Kind of an Easter present to me and our boy after our rooster turned on us.
