FLORIDA!!!!!ALWAYS SUNNY SIDE UP!!!

OK, fellow FL chicken wranglers, a question about incubators.

I've only had chickens about 6 months, and have only had egg laying hens for about two weeks. I'm hoping to be able to incubate eggs in the not to far off future, and I'm completely clueless about incubators. I've done some research; forced air, still air, manual turners, auto-turners, etc, etc. So help! What kind of incubator should I invest in? I'm not planning on hatching more than 6-12 eggs at a time, so I'm not ready for one of those huge cabinet incubators. Any tips on what I should look for.

Thanks everyone!

PS I realize that some of you are further north than I am here in Central FL, but I'm freezing. This is pathetic. It's 49 degrees, and I'm cold. FL has really spoiled me. Other parts of the country would love this weather.

Yeah, I'm ok with a cool down, but it's 48 degrees and I'm freezing! Lol!
Yeah what a sorry bunch some of us are. If you go to the resorts and theme parks, tourists from much colder climates are running around in shorts and swimming in the hotel pools. Brrrr, just thinking about it gives me the chills.

I have family members in Colorado and Wyoming...they have ZERO sympathy for me being cold down herel. What's a frozen Floridian to do?

The cool weather is only going to be around for a couple of days then it's going to warm up again in the mid 70's. So nice for working outside.

Good point. I'm heading south to Pembroke Pines for Thanksgiving, so it's a little warmer down there. I'll be back home once it starts warming up a little.
